Bath time can go either way in our house depending on how tired the girls are and whether or not we're washing hair. So, sometimes we play "spa." Of course Anna Claire and Mallory have never been to a spa, but I talk it up big time...they love it. TJ Maxx was practically giving away these shower caps today...a perfect solution to keeping their hair dry if we're not washing it while adding to their spa experience at the same time!

Tub Time
Anna Claire and Mallory love bath time...until it's time to wash hair, that is. Recently, washing hair and later blowdrying hair, has become an epic battle in our house. These pics are obviously the before shots.
No cameras allowed in the bathroom during hair~washing; water usually ends up everywhere.

There's a First Time for Everything
Mallory pooped in the bathtub tonight. I have no words to describe it.

Splish, Splash! They Were Takin' a Bath
A few weeks ago, the girls outgrew the inflatable tub they had been sharing at bath time (we loved that tub). As a result, they recently moved into the "big girl" tub. Quite scary at first -- for Mommy. I bought a no-slip mat, but it doesn't help much; pair that with Mallory wanting to stand up and both girls crawling around the tub like they're on the floor rounding up toys that have floated away, and let's just say the first few nights bath time was not relaxing!
We don't take bubble baths very often, so I couldn't resist snapping some pictures...
The coveted pink hippo. The girls fight over this one toy every night. Notice Mallory eyeing it.

Bathing Beauties
Anna Claire and Mallory have a new bathtub. They have recently become too big for the baby bath tub (the kind that fits in the kitchen sink or on a counter top), but they aren't quite sitting up by themselves yet. Until they can, we needed something that would bridge the gap and make bath time fun and comfortable.
After considering several options, our new inflatable tub is doing just the trick. It fits both girls, so I only have to run bath water once, and I can bathe the girls one right after the other - such a time saver (more time to splash around!). The girls are super comfortable and most of the time look like they are lounging poolside when they aren't lunging for bath toys which we also have room for in our new tub!
I can't wait until they can sit up on their own and play, I mean take a bath, in the big girls' tub. Bath time, I'm sure, will take on a whole new meaning.
