Party Animals
Anna Claire and Mallory missed ringing in the new year by about 3 hours! Mommy missed it by about an hour and a half, and I'm pretty sure Daddy fell asleep on the couch before the ball dropped. We did "party" for a little while over at Aunt Pam's house but we came home early where I played a few games of Sudoku before bed and Walter figured out how to play the girls' Tangled Wii game. Like I said ~ party animals!
Rebeccah, I love what you posted on Facebook the other day ~ you know you're getting old when you're more concerned with who's making what for lunch on New Year's Day than where the party is on New Year's Eve. So true!
Hoppin' John and collards here I come. Healthy eating starts tomorrow. Promise.
Happy New Year!!!

Happy New Year!
New Year's Eve we played outside at Aunt Pam and Uncle Ronnie's and partied with the family.
Here's Mallory pretending to be Buzz Lightyear. She runs, jumps into the swing, and shouts "To infinity and beyond!"
Anna Claire on the tire swing...
Anna Claire and Cousin Chauncey...
I guess they partied too hard...sacked out by 8:30 pm.
New Year's Day we ate Chauncey's leftover BBQ, collards, hoppin' john, and cornbread at Granny and Papa's. YUM! Tomorrow...back to work. Ugh!

Happy New Year!
As is tradition, we rang in the new year at Cousin Chauncey's annual pig pickin' on New Year's Eve. Yummmm!
Anna Claire couldn't eat enough "dip" and crackers (the girls call everything "dip" - ketchup, mustard, sour cream, tartar sauce...). She happened to fall in love with cream cheese and pepper jelly! I can't blame her.
All bundled up...
