Say Click!

Yesterday afternoon Mallory got a hold of my old point and shoot and went to town taking pictures of some lovies and figurines in her room. She lined them all up on the dresser and one~by~one took their pictures. I've got to tell you, once she realized she had to keep her fingers out of the way and center the image, she did a pretty good job.

It's About Time...

...I learned to use my camera. I've only had it for two years! This arrived in the mail today along with a Lightscoop and in about 90 seconds I went from this...

I used to take indoor pics in either auto or aperture mode, then edit as best I could in Picasa {because it's free!}. As a result, I'd get something like this:

 Now, I get this:

NO editing!!!!! I almost cried. For two years I've been taking awful pictures with an awfully expensive camera of my awfully adorable girls. They deserve better!

I'm not saying the setting are perfect yet, but I didn't even have the Lightscoop on my camera yet, had only adjusted the manual settings, and was already getting drastically better indoor pics. Seriously, in less than two minutes of the mail lady dropping the Amazon box on my porch my life was changed forever. It's the little things that make me happy!

Anna Claire was a great model for me while Mallory napped. I was originally practicing taking pics of my vacuum, but I thought you would much prefer to see this cutie instead.

Portriats at the Park

This is just a little peek at two of the 400 pics of Anna Claire, Mallory, Dylan, and Connor. There are so many cute ones...I'll have to share more later.

Group Shot

The girls' school pictures came in yesterday including their class picture which I purchased sight unseen so I could put it in their baby books. Very cute...

School Pictures

The girls came home today with the proofs of thier very first school pictures. I must say I am quite pleased with how these turned out, and I can't wait to see the class photo.

Random Pictures

I haven't posted pictures in a few days because I am having camera trouble. Here are a few I was able to pull off.

These are the girls poor "little" thighs after their shots Thursday. Anna Claire's chunky little thighs - I count three rolls!

It's hard to count the rolls on Mallory from this angle. I promise, she has four!

Mommy, there are ladybugs on our feet!

This is the closest I've come to getting a shot of both girls smiling...and it's really not that close. I promise they were smiling when my finger pressed the button. I've got to get a camera with a faster shutter speed.

Pictures of You...Pictures of Me

I've heard that it is rare for moms to end up in pictures with their children because they are always the ones actually taking the pictures. So, since I want the girls to know that I was, in fact, present for their lives, I went on a hunt today for pictures of me and the girls. Other than the pictures from the OR, a few pictures of the four of us in the hospital and a couple more on the day we came home, none of which will be shown to the public due to my appearance, ;-) this is all I could find...

At least that's one with each of the girls. We need to do a better job of getting both Walter and myself in some of the thousands of pictures we're taking!
