Bowen's Island

Friday night most of the Watson clan headed over to Bowen's Island for dinner. I hadn't eaten there in ages...even having burned to the ground, I'd say it hasn't changed much in the last twenty years or so...still scrumptious!

The girls loved looking out over the intercoastal searching for dolphins.

Not a bad family photo.

The weather wasn't too hot and the wait wasn't too long, but the girls were out way past their bed time which is pretty unusual for us. You've gotta break the rules every once in a while, though. It was definitely worth it.
Granny and Papa.
The family...too busy eating shrimp and oysters to look at the camera.

...then my camera battery died

Not this past weekend, but the weekend before that, we had a cookout over at Aunt Pam and Uncle Rick's. It was warm enough to play outside until the sun started setting, so I got a few pics...then my camera battery died.

Does Mallory look like she's in jail? The only this she was guilty of this night was eating an entire hot dog ~ bun and all ~ and two helpings of macaroni and cheese. Seems like the girls are only picky eaters when they want to be.

Anna Claire walked around the entire perimeter of the flower bed "balance beam" and it is a huge flower bed. I've got to say I was pretty impressed with her balance...until it was time to go home. It was dark. She was tired. Then she stumbled and fell.
We had a great time {wish I had more pictures}, and the girls were asleep before we could get home.

So Long, Irene

This is about as scary as the skies got around here last Friday. We did get out of school early and one rain band brought quite a heavy downpour around the two pm hour, but other than that, Irene pretty much passed us right by. And for that we are mighty grateful!

After picking up the girls early from my parents we went home, put on our pj's {'cause that's what you do when you get out a half-day for a hurricane} and made mini-pizzas for dinner...Mallory likes hers with extra black olives.
Girls, the toppings go on the pizzas!

Saturday night we met Aunt Michelle, Connor and Dylan for dinner at La Hacienda {we ate sooooo healthy this weekend}. I have pretty much given up on ever trying to get anyone to look at the camera.
So, another pretty uneventful weekend around our household. I guess we'll have to see what the upcoming holiday weekend has in store for us. No school for Mommy on Monday!!!
